Lahore: The eighth annual inter-sect Iftar dinner, organized by Khayal-e-Nau under the patronage of Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, brought together scholars, social activists, students, and civil society members from diverse schools of thought. The event highlighted Ramadan as a time for spiritual reflection and dialogue, fostering mutual understanding and promoting national cohesion. Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and Khateeb of the historic Badshahi Mosque, stressed the importance of transcending sectarian differences. “We are all brothers, and the true essence of our faith is unity,” he said. Dr Qaiser Rafiq, attending as chief guest, praised the initiative for encouraging tolerance and dialogue, highlighting that such efforts are essential for Pakistan’s progress, stability, and long-term social harmony.
